BIOGRAPHY
I was born in Secaucus, NJ on April 18, 1997. I spent my entire childhood in Erie, PA with two loving parents and no siblings. I've wanted to work in sports since I was 10 years old. In the pros, my favorite teams are the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Rangers, Indiana Pacers, and Philadelphia Phillies. I know, it's all over the map. It's a long story.
I studied Broadcast & Digital Journalism at Syracuse University from 2015-2019. Syracuse has a special meaning to the Unger family; both of my parents went there, as well. When it comes to my education at Newhouse, or Orange football, basketball, and lacrosse, I'm probably as loud and proud as they come. Since graduating, I've been a sports reporter/MMJ at WKBW in Buffalo, New York and a sports photographer/MMJ at WXIN/WTTV in Indianapolis, IN.
Outside of the studio, my wife Kelsey and our dog and cat, Momo and Luna, are my world. To de-stress, I play the drums and write my own music; some of my work has been used in shows that I've produced! I also enjoy cooking and video games in my spare time. Thank you for visiting my website! My contact info is also in the menu at the top of the page.
TESTIMONIALS:
“I’ve had the pleasure of working directly with Adam for three years as my photographer and editor. I can confidently say there are few people as creative and hardworking in this industry. Adam goes above and beyond to always get the shot, pitch incredible stories, and put together meaningful work. He’s the best coworker, so collaborative, and anyone would be lucky to have him join their team."
-Alexa Ross, Sports Reporter/Anchor, WXIN/WTTV
“I worked with Adam for over two and a half years, and I don’t think I’ve worked with someone who has a better work ethic than Adam. He would always communicate with me in vivid detail about what he was working on, and always offered to help, no matter what. I miss getting the chance to work with him every day.”
-Paul Ross, Assignment Editor, CTV News Toronto
"Adam is the kind of worker you wish you had four dozen more of. I know, because he was simply one of the very best students in my Broadcast Reporting class I've ever had. Ambitious, tenacious, and one hell of a work ethic. This is why I left CBS News: for the chance to teach a student like him. Simply the best!"
-Les Rose, Professor of Practice, The S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University
